It's been a while...

since I published this. And I'm beginning to wonder if anyone besides me will ever provide any input here besides me. What say you?

My news is that 1) I survived the last round of layoffs at work and 2) Joshi and I went skiing!

I've been looking forward to skiing with Josh, so this year when we had a bus trip organized through work, we broke away and went. It was kind of touch and go, as I was in Tucson until Saturday morning and had to rise well before dawn to catch the bus. But we made it and I was glad that I wasn't doing the driving. Josh was excited to go, but as could be expected, after his first few falls decided he didn't like this falling down and not knowing how to get up again. He did like riding the 'wonder carpet' though, which was basically a conveyor belt he could stand on to ride up the hill. He liked his first ski down too...until he realized that he had no idea how to stop! He also made abundantly clear that he didn't believe MOM was the person to teach him to ski. While MOM was telling him about making pizza shapes with his ski, he overheard an instructor telling another kid and next thing we knew, he had edged away from mom to join the lesson! He had his own lesson after lunch. He needs some time to work on it, but he's more than ready to go again. It was a really fun day.

Looks like Joshi likes that snow stuff! Maybe I should post my weekly e-mail and moose pictures there as well? Amanda keeps getting hammered with snow, soon it will all turn to rain so anybody attending wedding on 7/22 in Juneau needs to bring either rain gear and/or dry clothes! Cheryl/Dale

Yes! I'd love it if you added updates here!

Our spot is one year old! Happy anniversary!

It's now been one year since this blog was created. While use of the spot has been less than robust, I'm still hopeful that over time we will find value within these pages.
