1st Grade & 1st Tooth Fairy Visit

Joshi got pictures & lost a tooth...without knocking it out!
We could never find the top tooth he knocked out, so long ago, சோ this is his first visit from the Tooth Fairy.

His other bottom front is loose also, and the top right has been 'iffy' since he knocked the first one out. It's getting closer to the day when I see him with a full smile!

He looks a bit serious at first in this school photo... then I see the look in his eyes! This is one of the times he reminds me of dad.

End of Fall Soccer 2008

I received these photos from another 'soccer mom' of Josh and a couple of his teammates (Austin on the right, Hunter on the left). They were sitting out a quarter and Josh decided to teach the others a game he'd learned (or made up...I can't always tell with him). They were really adorable sitting and playing together on the ground, huddled up in a clover formation.

Time for an Update!

So much to do , so little time. If this blog had feelings, I'm sure it would be feeling deeply neglected. So time for an update.

Spent a lovely evening at the urgent care center tonight. Josh had a teensy tinsy little bit of an old scrape left, when it decided to go bad. Tried heat compresses Saturday & Sunday, but no fix. Quite the little 'procedure' they had to do tonight. Should've turned the video on to get the full effect of them cutting him open, cleaning out and stuffing the hole with fabric ribbon. Took a few shots with the phone for him to enjoy later.

On a brighter side, really enjoying the Indian Summer (love em)! Corvallis is full of blood red trees right now, and complement it with the still green grass (freshly cut..smelled wonderful tonight) and the spots of yellow here and there too. Very nice.

Josh & I went to the ski swap last week. Geared him up with new skis & boots. Translucent Orange (Technica) boots and 110cm Rossignol Radicals...which also happen to be....Orange! He's been telling me for months now that he wants to join WARP (Willamette Area Racing Program), but alas..he's going to have to wait another year until he's 7. I'll try to get him to actually think about technique more this year.

Our spot is one year old! Happy anniversary!

It's now been one year since this blog was created. While use of the spot has been less than robust, I'm still hopeful that over time we will find value within these pages.
